In unison I hear magician’s everywhere say ‘Why didn’t I think of that’
The Phantom Deck by Joshua Jay is a step forward from Omni Deck however I think they both have their roles in our performances. On opening the box you get exactly what you are expecting, a deck of individual cards that are completely clear. Clear plastic sheets cut the same size and shape of a regular deck of poker Bicycle cards.
The Phantom Deck cards feel surprisingly good and easy to handle with specially treated sides to each card with white edges, as so, they look like a regular deck. You’re not able to do a smooth fan but at the end of the day that just doesn’t matter.
The Phantom Deck DVD with Joshua Jay is excellent quality and has some very well explained routines. All moves and switches are clearly covered and easy to do. The switch to original Omni deck was one of my favourites.
I think we can all see this being in many magicians cases from now on.
